After graduating, we treated ourselves to a special trip: five weeks through Colombia—Caro's homeland. We visited her family in Medellín and immersed ourselves in the world of Colombian designers, studios, and family businesses. What we found there touched us: small, finely run workshops, centuries-old knowledge, masterful craftsmanship—and people who create with dedication. In a time when cheap goods are on the rise everywhere, many of these artisans are struggling to survive.

ogao isn't meant to be a label about us. The focus is on our artesanas y artesanos – the artists behind every piece of jewelry and accessory.
