Silver Earrings "Chinche" - small

1. Protect from humidity and sulfur: Humidity and sulfur-containing substances (e.g., in bleach or exhaust fumes) can cause silver to tarnish. It's best to store your jewelry in an airtight container, such as a small bag or tin.

2. Avoid chemicals: Cosmetics, perfume, cleaning products, and chlorine attack silver. Therefore, only wear your jewelry after applying care products and perfume.

3. Avoid the sun: Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight when you're not wearing your jewelry. Store it in a cool, dark place.

4. Clean regularly: You can remove discoloration and maintain the shine with a silver cleaning cloth or special silver polish. These products are easy to use and available online.

Paula works primarily with recycled silver, which is refined into 999 fine silver. Depending on the design, the silver is alloyed differently: Crocheted earrings like "Cataratas" are made from soft 999 silver, while pieces in the "Chinches" series are made from harder 950 silver—an alloy with copper that ensures stability, less oxidation, and a brighter shine.

Our gold-plated pieces are electroplated with a 23-carat gold coating – with a thickness of 4 microinches (0.102 micrometres). To protect them from wear and tear, they are additionally sealed with a transparent KTL coating (cataphoresis).
